Since our last edition (March 8), the conflict has significantly worsened across every metric. The death toll has risen from 394 to 486+, the displaced from 517,000 to nearly 700,000, and Israeli ground forces have now pushed deeper into Lebanese territory with three full divisions — infantry, armoured and engineering — confirmed operating inside Lebanon. Israel has now struck Tyre and Sidon directly for the first time since the war resumed. A Maronite Catholic priest has been killed by Israeli tank fire. White phosphorus has been formally confirmed by Human Rights Watch.

In an extraordinary development, approximately 240 displaced people were expelled from the Christian-majority village of Rmeish in southern Lebanon today after the Israeli army threatened strikes if anyone sheltering there was found communicating with Hezbollah. The strike came without warning. Four people were wounded. Videos broadcast on Lebanese news channels showed two floors of a multi-storey building engulfed in flames. The target was unclear. 🔴 #8 — HRW FORMALLY CONFIRMS WHITE PHOSPHORUS IN YOHMOR — WAR CRIME

Human Rights Watch has published a formal, fully documented report confirming that Israel fired artillery-delivered white phosphorus munitions over homes in the southern Lebanese town of Yohmor on March 3, 2026. 🌴 SOUTH LEBANON
