⛔ ACTIVE WAR — DAY 15 OF THE IRAN WAR

INDEX LEVEL: 🔴🔴 CATASTROPHIC OVERALL INDEX: 99/100 TREND: ⬆️ MAXIMUM — MASSIVE GROUND INVASION IMMINENT

⛔ EMERGENCY STATUS PREAMBLE

THIS IS DAY 15 OF THE US-ISRAELI WAR ON IRAN. LEBANON IS AN ACTIVE, FULL-SCALE WAR ZONE ON THE BRINK OF A MASSIVE GROUND INVASION.

Since our last edition (March 11), three days of catastrophic escalation have transformed Lebanon’s situation dramatically. The death toll has risen from 570 to 826+, with over 2,000 wounded. Israel has now formally confirmed it is planning a massive ground invasion of south Lebanon — US and Israeli officials have told Axios that the operation will aim to seize the entire area south of the Litani River. A senior Israeli official stated: “We are going to do what we did in Gaza.” Lebanon is now openly drawing parallels to Gaza in terms of the scale of planned destruction.

Key developments since March 11 that drove escalation to this point: Israel struck the Bachoura neighbourhood of central Beirut on March 13 — killing at least 12 people and sending black smoke across the capital. A nine-member family including five children was killed in an Israeli strike on a yoghurt factory in Irkay. Israel struck a bridge over the Litani River — the first acknowledged attack on Lebanese public infrastructure. An overnight strike on the Burj Qalawiya health centre in Bint Jbeil killed 12 doctors, paramedics and nurses on duty — WHO confirmed. UNIFIL’s Nepalese battalion headquarters in Mais el-Jabal was struck by Israeli shells. 800,000+ people are now displaced.

The IDF struck the Nabaa-Burj Hammoud neighbourhood in northern Beirut — a densely populated area home to a large Armenian-Lebanese community — on two consecutive days (March 13 and 14). In the wider regional war, the US struck Iran’s Kharg Island — which processes 90% of Iran’s oil exports — and Iran is threatening to hit all US-linked energy infrastructure across the Gulf region. Oil prices stand at $103/barrel (Brent). The IEA has released 400 million barrels from strategic reserves. 2,500 US Marines and the USS Tripoli are en route to the Middle East.

Rafic Hariri International Airport remains open but under direct threat. Depart immediately if you intend to leave.

🚨 ALL BREAKING DEVELOPMENTS — SATURDAY MARCH 14, 2026

🔴 #1 — DEATH TOLL 826+; 2,000+ WOUNDED; 800,000+ DISPLACED

[Lebanese Ministry of Public Health / WHO / UNHCR — confirmed today]

Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health confirmed today that Israeli attacks since March 2 have killed 826 people — including 106 children and 65 women — and wounded over 2,000. This is up from 570 just three days ago, an increase of 256 deaths in 72 hours. At least 31 paramedics have been killed since March 2. The WHO confirmed 14 health workers killed in Burj Qalawiya alone.

UN Secretary-General Guterres arrived in Beirut today for a “solidarity visit,” launching a $325 million flash humanitarian appeal to support the 800,000+ internally displaced. He stated: “The south of Lebanon risks becoming a wasteland. Southern Beirut, which is under sweeping evacuation orders by Israel, risks being bombed to oblivion.” He said the Lebanese people “did not choose this war. They were dragged into it.” He called for an immediate “cessation” of fighting and said there is “no military solution, only diplomacy.” The visit was the first by a UN Secretary-General since the war resumed.

🔴 #2 — ISRAEL CONFIRMS MASSIVE GROUND INVASION OF SOUTH LEBANON — “LIKE GAZA”

[Axios — US and Israeli officials — confirmed today]

In the most consequential single development of the day, US and Israeli officials confirmed to Axios that Israel is planning a massive ground invasion of southern Lebanon — the largest since 2006. Key confirmed elements:

  • The operation aims to seize the entire area south of the Litani River
  • Goal: push Hezbollah north, dismantle all military positions and weapons depots
  • A senior Israeli official stated: “We are going to do what we did in Gaza” — a reference to the systematic flattening of buildings used to store weapons
  • “Before the large Hezbollah rocket attack on Wednesday, we were ready for a ceasefire in Lebanon, but after it there is no way back from a massive operation,” a senior Israeli official said
  • The IDF has already sent reinforcements to the Lebanon border and is mobilizing additional reserves
  • The IDF bombed a bridge in south Lebanon on Thursday — the first acknowledged attack on Lebanese civilian infrastructure — describing it as a “key crossing” used by Hezbollah
  • A prolonged Israeli occupation of southern Lebanon is assessed as a likely outcome by US officials
  • Israel agreed to spare Rafic Hariri airport — but stopped short of a blanket commitment to protect Lebanese state infrastructure
  • “We feel we have full US backing for this operation,” the Israeli official said. A US official added: “The Israelis have to do what they have to do to stop the Hezbollah shelling.”
  • Netanyahu has tasked former minister Ron Dermer with managing the Lebanon file, including any potential negotiations
  • Trump has tasked Massad Boulos (Tiffany Trump’s father-in-law) with facilitating direct Israel-Lebanon talks

🔴 #3 — 12 MEDICS KILLED IN BURJ QALAWIYA HEALTH CENTRE STRIKE — WHO CONFIRMS

[Al Jazeera / WHO / Lebanese MoPH — confirmed today]

An overnight Israeli strike on a healthcare centre in Burj Qalawiya, Bint Jbeil district, killed 12 medical staff — doctors, paramedics and nurses who were on duty. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus confirmed the figure, saying 14 health workers total were killed at the facility. The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health stated: “The Israeli army has repeatedly targeted ambulance crews while carrying out rescue missions since the start of the offensive.” A separate strike on the village of Souaneh also killed medical workers earlier in the day. In total, at least 26 paramedics have been killed and 51 injured in Lebanon since March 2.

Al Jazeera’s Heidi Pett, reporting from Beirut: “You can see how deadly some of these individual airstrikes have been, not just across the south, but of course we are seeing airstrikes hitting across the capital, Beirut.”

🔴 #4 — NABAA-BURJ HAMMOUD (NORTH BEIRUT) STRUCK FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE DAY

[NNA / AFP / Jordan Times — confirmed today]

For the second consecutive day, Israel struck an apartment building in the Nabaa-Burj Hammoud neighbourhood in northern Beirut — a densely populated, predominantly mixed area known for its large Armenian-Lebanese community. The same building was struck on Friday without causing casualties; today’s strike on the same building confirmed the deliberate pattern. Residents reacted with shock.

Levon Ghazalian, 42, who lives next door: “It’s the first time this happens in this area, which was spared in the previous conflict in 2024. All the neighbours are afraid.”

Hanadi Hachem, 50, who was in her pyjamas: “There’s no safety anymore… you never know where a strike will come from.” She and family members were sleeping in their car out of fear.

Burj Hammoud is not historically associated with Hezbollah infrastructure. Its targeting — twice in two days — follows the same pattern as Aicha Bakkar, Raouche, and Bachoura: Israel is systematically expanding its Beirut strike perimeter into previously untouched civilian neighbourhoods.

🔴 #5 — BACHOURA (CENTRAL BEIRUT) STRUCK MARCH 13 — 12 KILLED, BILLOWING BLACK SMOKE

[Democracy Now / Boston Globe / IDF — confirmed yesterday]

On Thursday, March 13, Israeli strikes hit the Bachoura neighbourhood close to downtown Beirut — killing at least 12 people and sending black smoke billowing across the capital. This was the fourth distinct central/west Beirut civilian neighbourhood struck since March 8. Separate attacks also ripped through Beirut’s southern suburbs and wide swaths of southern Lebanon on the same day. Israel also struck a bridge over the Litani River on Thursday — the first publicly acknowledged attack on Lebanese public infrastructure. The IDF stated the bridge was used by Hezbollah to move forces between northern and southern Lebanon.

Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz appeared to escalate threats, saying future strikes would include attacks on Lebanese government infrastructure that Hezbollah uses — a direct warning to the Lebanese state.

🔴 #6 — FAMILY OF NINE INCLUDING FIVE CHILDREN KILLED IN IRKAY (SOUTH LEBANON)

[CNN / IDF — confirmed March 13]

An Israeli strike on a yoghurt factory in Irkay, southern Lebanon, killed nine members of a single family — including five children. CNN’s Isobel Yeung visited the site of destruction. The IDF stated it had issued an evacuation order for the area overnight before the strike and that it was targeting Hezbollah infrastructure. This single-family massacre is among the most symbolically devastating of the war — five children killed in what appeared to be a civilian food production facility.

🔴 #7 — UNIFIL NEPALESE BATTALION HEADQUARTERS STRUCK IN MAIS EL-JABAL

[NNA / The National / CNN — confirmed]

Israeli shells struck the headquarters of the UNIFIL Nepalese battalion in the southern border town of Mais el-Jabal, Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency confirmed. A UNIFIL peacekeeper was injured. The IDF told CNN that “fire conducted by” Israeli troops who had perceived a threat “deviated from its trajectory, which led to a hit on a UN position in the area.” UNIFIL launched an investigation. This is the third UNIFIL peacekeeping position struck since the war began — after the Ghanaian battalion at Qouzah (March 6, 3 wounded) and now the Nepalese battalion at Mais el-Jabal. UNIFIL is now effectively unable to operate in most of its mandate area.

🔴 #8 — ISRAEL DROPS LEAFLETS OVER BEIRUT — “DISARM HEZBOLLAH OR FACE CONSEQUENCES”

[CBC News / NNA — confirmed]

On Friday, two loud booms echoed over Beirut before Israeli propaganda leaflets began raining down on residents across the city. The leaflets, bearing slogans evoking Israel’s Gaza operation, urged Lebanese residents to share information with Israeli intelligence and warned of consequences if Hezbollah was not disarmed. Beirut resident Hala Beydoun: “First there were these big, strong booms. We thought it was a rocket or a drone. Then, we see these raining pamphlets from the skies — what the heck?”

Legal expert George Katrougalos, an independent UN expert: “It is clear psychological warfare.” He told CBC News the leaflets could amount to a war crime under international law, as the spreading of terror among civilians is forbidden. The IDF stated the leaflets are intended to warn civilians and protect them from strikes.

Israel has also cut major roads in southern Lebanon — isolating communities and hampering civilian movement. This is a classic pre-invasion logistics move.

🔴 #9 — QASSEM: HEZBOLLAH “ALL IN” FOR LONG CONFRONTATION — “READY FOR SURPRISES ON THE BATTLEFIELD”

[Naharnet / LiveUAMap — confirmed today]

Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem issued his most explicit war statement to date, confirming his group’s full commitment: “We have prepared ourselves for a long confrontation, and the enemy will be surprised on the battlefield.” He stated Hezbollah was “facing continuous aggression for 15 months and the occupation of several areas in Lebanon, and therefore we decided to confront them.” He also told the Lebanese government: “Stop making gratuitous concessions, as this prolongs the war.” Hezbollah continued targeting Israeli forces in Aitaroun with guided missiles; fighting reported in Khiam, Bint Jbeil. IDF confirmed killing two Hezbollah commanders who had been overseeing rocket launches at northern Israel.

🔴 #10 — FRENCH PEACE PLAN: LEBANON TO RECOGNISE ISRAEL — PARIS TO HOST DIRECT TALKS

[Axios — three sources familiar with details — confirmed today]

Two bombshell diplomatic developments emerged today from France:

1. The French Peace Plan (Axios exclusive): The French government has drafted a formal proposal to end the Lebanon war that would require Lebanon to take the unprecedented step of recognising Israel — for the first time in Lebanon’s history since 1948. Key elements confirmed:

  • Lebanon formally recognises Israel
  • Both parties commit to resolving disputes peacefully with security arrangements
  • Israel withdraws from five positions in southern Lebanon held since November 2024
  • Border between Israel and Lebanon — and between Lebanon and Syria — demarcated by end of 2026
  • Israel and the US are reviewing the proposal
  • Lebanon’s government has accepted it as a basis for talks
  • Lebanese President Aoun has already formed a negotiating team for direct talks with Israel

2. Macron offers Paris as host (confirmed today): President Macron stated publicly: “The Lebanese government has signalled its willingness to engage in direct talks with Israel. France is ready to facilitate these talks by hosting them in Paris.” He called on Israel to “seize this opportunity” for a ceasefire and demanded Hezbollah “immediately halt its reckless escalation.” He also called on Israel to “abandon any large-scale offensive and stop its massive strikes.”

Lebanon President Aoun stated Friday that he had expressed readiness to negotiate directly with Israel — but received no response. Israeli PM Netanyahu has tasked Ron Dermer with the Lebanon diplomatic file. The Trump administration, via Massad Boulos, also wants to use potential Lebanon-Israel direct talks to lay the groundwork for a formal end to the state of war between the two countries — ongoing since 1948.

🔴 #11 — GUTERRES IN BEIRUT: “SOUTH LEBANON RISKS BECOMING A WASTELAND”

[Al Jazeera / CNN / Guterres press conference — confirmed today]

UN Secretary-General António Guterres arrived in Beirut today for a solidarity visit, the first by a UN leader since the war resumed. At his press conference he stated:

  • “The south of Lebanon risks becoming a wasteland”
  • “Southern Beirut, which is under sweeping evacuation orders by Israel, risks being bombed to oblivion”
  • “There is no military solution, only diplomacy”
  • The Lebanese people “did not choose this war. They were dragged into it”
  • “Hezbollah rockets and drones were launched at targets in northern Israel and the occupied Syrian Golan. This was followed by devastating Israeli bombing operations and blanket evacuation notices, rendering large portions of Lebanon uninhabitable”

Guterres launched the $325 million flash humanitarian appeal for Lebanon’s displaced. UN spokesperson Dujarric separately confirmed the UN has received more requests for humanitarian corridors from Lebanon than in any conflict situation in recent years.

🔴 #12 — TURKEY: FEARS ISRAEL MOVING TOWARD “NEW GENOCIDE” IN LEBANON

[Jordan Times / AFP — confirmed today]

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan issued an unusually blunt statement today: “We are frankly concerned Netanyahu is moving toward a new genocide under the pretext of fighting Hezbollah.” He urged the international community to “take immediate action.” Turkey’s use of the word “genocide” — echoing similar language it applied to Gaza — is a significant escalation in the international political response. Several other countries have called for de-escalation this week, including a collection of UN experts. France, which both condemns Hezbollah and demands Israel halt its large-scale offensive, is the most active Western diplomatic player.

🔴 #13 — US OBLITERATES KHARG ISLAND MILITARY TARGETS; IRAN THREATENS ENTIRE GULF ENERGY SYSTEM

[NBC / Trump / Euronews / CNN — confirmed today]

President Trump announced Friday night that US forces had “totally obliterated every MILITARY target” on Kharg Island — described as “Iran’s crown jewel” because it handles approximately 90% of Iran’s crude oil exports. Trump’s post on Truth Social: “Moments ago, at my direction, the United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East.” Tanker trackers confirmed all 55 crude oil storage tanks on the island appear intact, and two Iranian tankers began loading crude hours after the strike, per TankerTrackers.com. Iran’s deputy governor of Bushehr stated that oil exports were “proceeding normally.”

Iranian response: Iran’s joint military command issued a formal threat to strike “all oil, economic, and energy infrastructures belonging to oil companies across the region that have American shares or cooperate with America.” Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi claimed the US struck Kharg Island from UAE territory (Ras al-Khaimah and near Dubai). Iran issued warnings for civilians to evacuate three major UAE ports. Iran also threatened the UAE directly.

Regional damage today: The port of Fujairah came under attack by Iranian drones — a fire at the critical UAE oil hub was photographed by AFP. Bahrain’s Defense Ministry confirmed Iran fired 10 drones and 3 missiles Saturday, bringing Bahrain’s total to 124 missiles and 203 drones since the war began. Saudi Arabia intercepted a drone in its eastern region. The US Embassy in Baghdad was hit by two drones.

Oil price: Brent crude settled at $103.14/barrel (+2.67% Friday) — its highest since July 2022. US crude at $98.71. Brent is up 41.5% since the war began. Gas prices at average $3.65/gallon in the US — up 70 cents since February 28.

IEA: The IEA has agreed to an historic 400 million barrel strategic reserve release — the largest ever.

🔴 #14 — US SENDS 2,500 MARINES AND USS TRIPOLI TO MIDDLE EAST; 13 AMERICANS KILLED

[CNN / France 24 / NBC — confirmed today]

The Pentagon is deploying the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (approximately 2,500 Marines and sailors) and the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli to the Middle East. This is in addition to the 50,000+ US troops already in the region. Meanwhile the US military has now confirmed 13 service members killed in the Iran war — including 6 killed when a refueling aircraft supporting US bombing of Iran crashed in western Iraq on Thursday, bringing the total to 13 killed and 140+ wounded.

Trump separately demanded allied nations send warships to help secure the Strait of Hormuz — directing requests at the UK, France, China, and Japan. Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi responded: “Trump is begging others.” The UK’s HMS Prince of Wales aircraft carrier, placed in advanced readiness, has been redirected to Arctic NATO exercises instead. Britain’s counter-drone forces in the Middle East shot down multiple drones overnight defending UK bases in Qatar, Cyprus, the UAE and Bahrain.

🔴 #15 — HEZBOLLAH SITUATION: GROUND CLASHES CONTINUE; SIX KILLED IN NABATIEH NUNS’ QUARTER; BACHOURA CHEMISTRY LECTURER KILLED

[LiveUAMap / Naharnet — confirmed today]

From today’s confirmed operational intelligence:

  • Israeli strike killed six people including a child in an airstrike targeting the nuns’ quarter in Nabatieh — among the most symbolically resonant civilian strikes of the day
  • IDF confirmed assassinating Hezbollah Unit 127 operative Murtada Hussein Srour — who worked as a chemistry lecturer at the Lebanese University in Beirut — in a strike near the campus
  • Israeli drones targeted motorcycles and cars in Aytit, Kafr Tebnit, and multiple south Lebanon villages
  • Ground clashes continued in Khiam (Marjayoun district) between IDF and Hezbollah
  • Hezbollah continued targeting Israeli forces in Aitaroun with guided missiles
  • IDF struck dozens of locations across south Lebanon and Nabatieh today

🔴 #16 — IDF TOTAL STRIKE COUNT: 7,600 IN IRAN; 1,100 IN LEBANON SINCE FEBRUARY 28

[France 24 / IDF — confirmed March 13]

The Israeli military confirmed it has carried out approximately 7,600 strikes in Iran and 1,100 strikes in Lebanon since launching Operation Roaring Lion on February 28. The IDF struck more than 200 Iranian infrastructures in western and central Iran on Saturday alone — targeting ballistic missile launchers, defense systems, and launch and storage sites. The IDF also said it was continuing to strike Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut’s southern suburbs.

🌡️ GOVERNORATE-BY-GOVERNORATE SECURITY INDEX — MARCH 14, 2026

🏙️ BEIRUT

Index: 99/100 🔴🔴 | Trend: ⬆️ MAXIMUM — FOUR CENTRAL/WEST NEIGHBOURHOODS NOW STRUCK; NORTH BEIRUT UNDER ATTACK

Beirut is now under the most extensive and geographically dispersed assault since the war began. The capital’s strike map now encompasses:

Dahiyeh (South Beirut): Continuous strikes. Full evacuation orders remain. 30+ rounds since March 2. Al-Qard al-Hassan targeted. IDF announced immediate evacuation warnings for Bourj el-Barajneh, Hadath, Haret Hreik, and Chiyah.

Raouche (Central Beirut, West): Struck March 8 (Ramada Hotel).

Aicha Bakkar (Central-West Beirut): Struck March 10-11.

Bachoura (Central Beirut — Downtown adjacent): Struck March 13 — 12 killed, black smoke over the city. This is adjacent to the commercial and parliamentary district of Lebanon.

Nabaa-Burj Hammoud (NORTH Beirut): Struck March 13 and again today March 14 — two consecutive days. This is north of the city centre. The Armenian-Lebanese community heart of Lebanon is now under IDF attack.

Pattern assessment: Israeli strikes have now touched every compass direction of Beirut — south (Dahiyeh), west (Raouche, Aicha Bakkar), central (Bachoura), north (Nabaa-Burj Hammoud). There is no neighbourhood of Beirut that can be described as safe. The airport has been explicitly spared by US request — but no other public infrastructure has received that protection. Israeli leaflets have been dropped over the entire capital.

Diplomatic situation: The French peace plan (Lebanon recognises Israel), Macron’s Paris talks offer, and Aoun’s negotiating team represent the most advanced diplomatic framework to date — but Israel has not yet responded to Lebanon’s direct talks offer. A massive ground offensive appears to be the immediate path.

🏞️ MOUNT LEBANON

Index: 89/100 🔴 | Trend: ⬆️ MAXIMUM DISPLACEMENT SATURATION; DAHIYEH ADJACENT RISK

Mount Lebanon is hosting a significant portion of Lebanon’s 800,000+ displaced — its collective shelter infrastructure has been overwhelmed for days. The IDF has issued evacuation warnings for the Dahiyeh suburbs (Hadath, Haret Hreik, Chiyah), with some of these communities bordering Mount Lebanon’s southern edge. The Bachoura and Nabaa-Burj Hammoud strikes mean the geographic strike envelope is expanding northward — a trend that affects the southern edge of Mount Lebanon’s population belt.

🌊 NORTH LEBANON & TRIPOLI

Index: 85/100 🔴 | Trend: ⬆️ ELEVATED — NABAA-BURJ HAMMOUD PATTERN PUSHES NORTH

Tripoli remains confirmed struck and receives massive ongoing displacement flows from the south and central areas. The targeting of Nabaa-Burj Hammoud — in north Beirut — is the closest IDF strike to Tripoli-direction communities since the war began. North Lebanon is no longer beyond the expanding strike geography of this conflict.

🌲 AKKAR

Index: 84/100 🔴 | Trend: Elevated

Akkar faces ongoing pressure from IDF Mount Hermon deployments, the Syria border Hezbollah shelling incident, and continuing displacement flows northward. No new direct strikes confirmed today but the strategic environment continues to deteriorate.

🍇 BEQAA VALLEY

Index: 97/100 🔴🔴 | Trend: 🚨 MAXIMUM — INVASION IMMINENT; IDF ON MOUNT HERMON

The planned ground invasion — aimed at the entire south-of-Litani zone — will traverse and activate Bekaa Valley strike operations dramatically. The IDF has already struck the Bekaa relentlessly (Tamnin al-Tahta on March 11, Nabi Sheet on March 7, ongoing overnight strikes). With the Golani Brigade redeployed north and reserves being mobilised, ground invasion preparation is accelerating. IDF forces on Mount Hermon overlook the Damascus-Beirut highway. Israel’s incursion into southern Syria adds encirclement pressure on the Bekaa from the east.

DO NOT ENTER THE BEKAA VALLEY. EVACUATION ORDERS ACTIVE. GROUND INVASION IMMINENT.

🏛️ BAALBEK-HERMEL

Index: 98/100 🔴🔴 | Trend: 🚨 MAXIMUM DANGER

Baalbek-Hermel continues under the most intensive aerial campaign in Lebanon. The planned ground invasion aims to establish a “forward defence zone” up to the Litani River — the eastern Bekaa sections of this zone will be part of the operational theater. Hezbollah’s Hermel corridor (primary overland supply route from Syria/Iran) remains the IDF’s primary strategic priority.

DO NOT TRAVEL TO BAALBEK-HERMEL.

⛪ KESERWAN-JBEIL

Index: 83/100 🔴 | Trend: Elevated

Keserwan-Jbeil continues as a primary displacement reception zone. Jbeil (Byblos), Jounieh, and coastal communities are stretched beyond capacity. No direct strikes confirmed in this governorate — but the expanding Beirut strike pattern (now into north Beirut) reduces the comfort margin for this area.

🌊 SOUTH LEBANON

Index: 99/100 🔴🔴 | Status: TOTAL WAR ZONE — INVASION IMMINENT — DO NOT ENTER

South Lebanon is the primary zone of the planned massive ground invasion. Confirmed today:

  • Burj Qalawiya health centre struck overnight — 12 medics killed (WHO confirmed)
  • Nuns’ quarter in Nabatieh struck — 6 killed including a child
  • Six family members killed overnight in south Lebanon per WikiLeaks monitor
  • Bridge over Litani River blown (March 13) — infrastructure war has begun
  • Roads cut across southern Lebanon — IDF pre-invasion logistics preparation
  • IDF ground forces (3 divisions + Golani Brigade) positioned at border
  • Evacuation orders cover the entire zone south of the Litani River
  • UNIFIL Nepalese battalion headquarters struck today

The stated plan is to seize and hold all territory south of the Litani — a zone of approximately 1,800 square kilometres that previously had hundreds of thousands of civilian inhabitants and dozens of villages. Israel has said it will do “what was done in Gaza” — a reference to systematic demolition of structures used by Hezbollah.

THIS ZONE FACES IMMINENT MASSIVE MILITARY GROUND OPERATION. EVACUATION IS NOW A MATTER OF SURVIVAL.

⛪ NABATIEH

Index: 99/100 🔴🔴 | Status: MAXIMUM DANGER — NUNS KILLED TODAY; FULL GROUND INVASION TARGET

Nabatieh Governorate is at the geographic heart of the planned Israeli ground invasion. Confirmed today alone:

  • Nabatieh city: Six killed including a child in strike on nuns’ quarter
  • Burj Qalawiya (Bint Jbeil district): 12 medics killed overnight
  • Aytit, Kafr Tebnit: Drone strikes on motorcycles and vehicles
  • Khiam: Active ground clashes between IDF and Hezbollah
  • Aitaroun: Hezbollah guided missile counter-attack on advancing IDF

The entire governorate is an imminent major-operation zone. No civilian presence is safe. All ground routes south are cut or compromised.

DO NOT ENTER NABATIEH GOVERNORATE.

⚠️ DIPLOMATIC STATUS — MARCH 14

Most active diplomatic day of the entire war — but no ceasefire:

  1. French Peace Plan (NEW — most significant): Lebanon recognises Israel. Mutual security arrangements. IDF withdraws from 5 south Lebanon positions. Border demarcation by end 2026. Lebanon has accepted as basis. Israel and US reviewing. This is the first concrete framework with all parties’ preliminary engagement.
  2. Macron’s Paris Talks Offer (NEW — today): France offers to host direct Israel-Lebanon talks. Lebanon’s President Aoun has formed a negotiating team. Israel has not responded.
  3. Boulos-Dermer Track (US-Israel): Trump’s Massad Boulos and Israel’s Ron Dermer managing Lebanon file. Goal: formal end to state of war since 1948. Direct talks possible “in coming weeks.”
  4. Guterres $325M Flash Appeal (NEW — today): UN humanitarian appeal launched in Beirut for 800,000 displaced. Guterres: “no military solution, only diplomacy.”

Assessment: The diplomatic environment has advanced significantly compared to two days ago — the French peace plan with Lebanon’s recognition of Israel is genuinely new territory. However, Israel’s stated position is that the massive ground invasion is now “inevitable” following Wednesday’s large Hezbollah rocket attack. The diplomatic and military tracks are on parallel timelines, not sequential ones. A ceasefire before the ground invasion begins is assessed as unlikely. The ground invasion will likely define the new facts on the ground from which any eventual negotiation proceeds.

📱 EMERGENCY GUIDANCE — MARCH 14, 2026

🚨 LIFE-SAFETY PRIORITIES — ACT TODAY. THE WINDOW IS CLOSING.

THE GROUND INVASION IS COMING. Israel has publicly and formally confirmed through US and Israeli officials a massive ground operation to seize all of south Lebanon below the Litani River. Once that operation begins, all routes south of the Litani will be severed. All civilians still in that zone face combat conditions.

SOUTH LEBANON AND NABATIEH — EVACUATE NOW, NOT TOMORROW: The ground invasion is imminent. Every road south of the Litani is now a potential combat corridor. The IDF has already destroyed the Litani River bridge and is cutting roads. This is textbook pre-invasion infrastructure denial. Anyone still in south Lebanon or Nabatieh must leave via remaining northern routes immediately.

DAHIYEH AND SOUTH BEIRUT: Evacuation orders for Bourj el-Barajneh, Hadath, Haret Hreik and Chiyah are active. Do not return. Any building associated with Hezbollah in these areas faces imminent destruction.

CENTRAL AND NORTH BEIRUT — NO NEIGHBOURHOOD IS SAFE: Four distinct central/west Beirut areas have now been struck. Bachoura (next to downtown), Aicha Bakkar, Raouche, and now Nabaa-Burj Hammoud in the north. If you are in Beirut, assess your building for any Hezbollah-linked guest risk. Avoid upper floors. Israeli leaflets have been dropped over the entire capital — this is a psychological and intelligence-gathering operation preceding potential wider strikes.

BEKAA AND BAALBEK-HERMEL: Evacuation orders active. Ground invasion will likely push Hezbollah forces northward into the Bekaa — intensifying that theatre further.

AIRPORT: USE IT NOW. Israel has agreed to spare Rafic Hariri International Airport — but only at US request, and explicitly stopped short of a blanket commitment on other infrastructure. The airport’s protected status is a US political commitment, not a strategic certainty. Do not assume the airport will remain open indefinitely.

ACTIVE WAR SERVICES — MARCH 14, 2026:

🚨 PRIORITY 1: IMMEDIATE EVACUATION — THE WINDOW IS CLOSING Pre-invasion emergency extraction from all south Lebanon, Nabatieh, Bekaa, Baalbek-Hermel, and Dahiyeh zones. Real-time monitoring of which road corridors remain open as IDF cuts routes. Safe passage to airport while it remains open. International evacuation liaison for foreign nationals and dual citizens. We are operating 24/7 extraction teams given invasion imminence.

🏙️ BEIRUT SAFE ZONE ASSESSMENT Following strikes on four distinct Beirut neighbourhoods in one week — including north Beirut today — we are conducting building-by-building profile assessments across the capital. Assessment focuses on: Hezbollah-linked guests or tenants; IRGC-linked individuals; proximity to named evacuation zones; structural vulnerability. Contact us immediately if you are in Beirut and have not conducted this assessment.

📡 INVASION TRACKING — REAL-TIME We are monitoring IDF ground force movements, reserve mobilisation, and logistics preparation in real time. Road closure and corridor updates every 30 minutes for extraction clients. When the ground invasion begins, the intelligence window for safe extraction closes rapidly.

⚖️ WAR CRIMES DOCUMENTATION 12 medics killed in health centre (Burj Qalawiya). Nuns’ quarter struck. Five children killed in Irkay. UNIFIL positions struck twice. White phosphorus confirmed. Forced displacement. We are coordinating documentation for affected communities and international legal observers.

⚠️ FINAL ASSESSMENT — MARCH 14, 2026

Lebanon today stands at the most dangerous threshold of this entire conflict. In 72 hours since our last edition:

  • Death toll rose from 570 to 826 — a 45% increase in three days
  • Four central/west Beirut neighbourhoods now struck in 6 days — including north Beirut today
  • 12 medics killed in a health centre overnight — WHO confirmed
  • A nine-member family including five children killed in one strike
  • 6 killed including a child in a strike on a nuns’ quarter
  • UNIFIL’s Nepalese battalion headquarters struck
  • The Litani River bridge destroyed — first acknowledged Lebanese infrastructure target
  • Roads being cut across south Lebanon
  • A massive ground invasion formally confirmed by US and Israeli officials
  • The phrase “like Gaza” used by a senior Israeli official to describe the planned operation

The diplomatic picture has advanced more in the past 24 hours than in the previous 12 days — the French peace plan (Lebanon recognises Israel for the first time in history), Macron’s Paris talks offer, Aoun’s negotiating team, and the US-managed Boulos-Dermer track represent a genuine multilateral framework. But Israel’s position is that the ground invasion is now inevitable following Wednesday’s Hezbollah rocket attack. The diplomatic and military clocks are both ticking — and the military clock is ahead.

CIS Security’s assessment: The ground invasion of south Lebanon is imminent — within days, not weeks. Once it begins, civilian extraction from south of the Litani becomes near-impossible. Anyone in south Lebanon, Nabatieh, the southern Bekaa, or Baalbek-Hermel who has not yet left must treat today as their final realistic opportunity for safe departure. For those in Beirut: no neighbourhood is safe. Four have already been struck in 6 days. The airport remains open by US request — use it today.
