Day 21. Nowruz. Lebanon’s death toll has officially crossed 1,000 — including 118 children and 40 health workers. Iran’s Ras Laffan attack has cut Qatar’s LNG by 17% for up to five years. Netanyahu has admitted Israel struck South Pars against Trump’s wishes and signalled a ground component is needed in Iran itself.

The BAZAN refinery in Haifa was struck by Iranian missiles. A US F-35 made an emergency landing after possibly being hit. Iran is warning of zero restraint and claiming it has only used a fraction of its firepower. The WTO is downgrading global trade forecasts. The European Council is calling for an energy infrastructure moratorium. The Bekaa Valley is receiving pre-strike threatening phone calls today. CIS Security’s assessment: The war on Day 21 is structurally wider, more destructive, and more diplomatically intractable than on Day 1. The key new threat vectors added since our last edition are: (1) Netanyahu’s signal of a ground component in Iran — which, if implemented, would dramatically escalate the war’s regional footprint and Lebanon’s exposure; (2) Iran’s “zero restraint” threat on energy infrastructure, which, if acted upon at scale, would collapse global supply chains; (3) the pre-strike warning phone calls in the Bekaa Valley today, which indicate new IDF strikes in the Bekaa are imminent.

Lebanon’s 1,000 dead includes 40 medical workers, 118 children, 79 women — the scale of civilian loss is now undeniable and legally documented. No ceasefire is forthcoming.
