⛔ ACTIVE WAR — DAY 37 | TRUMP APRIL 6 ULTIMATUM EXPIRES TOMORROW

INDEX LEVEL: 🔴🔴 CATASTROPHIC OVERALL INDEX: 99/100 TREND: ⬆️ MAXIMUM — 14 KILLED TODAY; JNAH STRIKE 100M FROM LARGEST HOSPITAL; MASNAA CROSSING CLOSED; TRUMP DEADLINE TOMORROW

⛔ EXECUTIVE STATUS — SUNDAY APRIL 5, 2026

TODAY IS EASTER SUNDAY. LEBANON IS BEING BOMBED.

As Lebanese Christians — roughly a third of the country — mark Easter Sunday, this is one of the most violent days since the war began March 2. Eight IDF airstrikes hit Beirut’s southern suburbs. A strike landed 100 metres from Rafik Hariri University Hospital — Lebanon’s largest public medical facility. A family of six displaced from the south was killed while waiting for a relative to pick them up. A four-year-old girl was killed in Kfar Hatta. The Lebanese army confirmed another soldier killed in south Lebanon. Israel’s IDF Chief of Staff flew to south Lebanon and vowed to “intensify” operations.

AND TOMORROW, APRIL 6, TRUMP’S DEADLINE TO IRAN EXPIRES. If Iran has not reopened the Strait of Hormuz or made a deal, Trump has threatened to destroy power plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island. Iran’s adviser has threatened to close the Bab al-Mandab Strait as well. The entire region holds its breath.

KEY FACTS RIGHT NOW:

🚨 BREAKING DEVELOPMENTS — EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 5, 2026

🔴 #1 — 14 KILLED TODAY: JNAH BEIRUT 100M FROM RAFIK HARIRI HOSPITAL; FAMILY OF SIX KILLED IN SOUTH

[Al Jazeera — 3 hours ago; Irish Times — 33 minutes ago; Naharnet — today; L’Orient Today — 10 hours ago]

Israeli strikes across southern Lebanon and Beirut killed at least 14 people on Easter Sunday — one of the most violent single days since the war began:

BEIRUT — JNAH: A strike on a building in the Jnah neighbourhood of south Beirut killed 4 people and wounded 39 others, hitting 100 metres from Rafik Hariri University Hospital — Lebanon’s largest public medical facility. Naharnet confirms the strike hit the building without warning, in a densely populated area. An AFP photographer saw missiles impact as Israeli warplanes flew at low altitude over the capital. The targeted area was not among neighbourhoods mentioned in prior Israeli warnings. A second strike separately hit another Jnah building that Israel had issued a warning for. Israel launched eight total strikes on Dahiyeh today. It stated it was striking “Hezbollah infrastructure sites.”

SOUTH LEBANON — FAMILY OF SIX: A family of six who had been displaced from a town in the south were killed in a vehicle strike while waiting for a relative to pick them up in Kfar Hatta. AFP confirmed at least eight homes destroyed in Kfar Hatta alone. The relative who arrived to help also perished in the strike. Seven people including a four-year-old girl were killed in the Kfar Hatta strikes. Earlier strikes on Maaraka (near Tyre) killed five, wounded one. Strikes on Habbush killed two girls and wounded 22. Strikes on al-Hawsh (near Tyre) wounded 18 — including paramedics —

and damaged the Lebanese Italian Hospital. Strikes confirmed today on: Wadi al-Hujair, Qana and surroundings (one dead + wounded), Deir Qanoun Ras al-Ain (Tyre district), Batouliyeh, Shahabiyeh, Al-Shahabiya, Barashit, Bariqah, Harouf (Nabatieh), Biriqah, Qusaybah, the university district in Nabatieh (airstrike on university campus), Lake Qaraoun vicinity (Bekaa — café struck, injuries), Hanouiyeh east of Tyre (AFP/Kawnat Haju photo confirmed).

🔴 #2 — MASNAA BORDER CROSSING CLOSED — LEBANON’S ONLY MAIN LAND GATEWAY TO WORLD

[Al Jazeera — 3 hours ago; Reuters/Asharq Al-Awsat — 13 hours ago; AFP — 6 hours ago]

The Masnaa crossing — Lebanon’s most important land border crossing with Syria and the country’s primary land gateway to the rest of the world — has been evacuated and effectively closed following an Israeli threat to bomb it. Israel stated on Saturday: “Due to Hezbollah’s use of the Masnaa crossing for military purposes and smuggling of combat equipment, the IDF intends to carry out strikes on the crossing in the near future.” The Lebanese side was evacuated immediately; Syria suspended traffic from its side. AFP confirmed only a few guards remained at the crossing on Sunday.

Why this is catastrophic for Lebanon: Masnaa is not just a political border — it is Lebanon’s primary commercial import route. With Rafic Hariri Airport operating under war conditions and Masnaa closed, Lebanon’s two main entry points for food, medicine, fuel, and commercial goods are now either threatened or closed. Hundreds of trucks are stranded near the Syrian border. An AFP correspondent confirmed a long line of cars at the northern Jousieh crossing as people tried to find an alternative route to Syria.

Military expert Hassan Jouni told AFP the threat “is not based on sound security considerations, but rather aims to pressure the Lebanese government… to disarm Hezbollah.” Lebanon’s Lebanese security source told Al Jazeera: “The Israeli threat to bomb an official Lebanese facility is a dangerous indicator.” Syria’s border authority confirmed the crossing is “exclusively for civilian use.”

🔴 #3 — IDF CHIEF ZAMIR IN SOUTH LEBANON: “INTENSIFY OPERATIONS”; CHANNEL 12: “WILL ESCALATE”

[L’Orient Today — 10 hours ago; LiveUAMap — today; Israeli Channel 12 — confirmed]

Israeli Army Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir flew to south Lebanon today and visited IDF troops conducting the ground invasion. He issued a statement vowing to “intensify” operations against Hezbollah. Separately, Israeli Channel 12 stated today that “the confrontation with Hezbollah will continue and escalate even further.” The IDF has been conducting daily airstrikes, artillery fire, and ground operations south of the Litani — and even beyond it toward the Bekaa (Bekaa villages struck Saturday).

Over the past two days since March 31, IDF forces have targeted Hezbollah military structures and located large weapons caches including anti-tank missiles, RPGs, rockets, and Kalashnikov rifles. The IDF said it found rocket launchers, RPGs, and surface-to-surface missiles in a school in Lebanon and claimed 165 Hezbollah rockets have struck within or near UNIFIL positions since March 2.

🔴 #4 — TRUMP APRIL 6 “UNLEASH HELL” DEADLINE EXPIRES TOMORROW — IRAN THREATENS BAB AL-MANDAB

[Irish Times — 33 minutes ago; L’Orient Today — 10 hours ago; Al Jazeera — today]

Trump’s 48-hour ultimatum to Iran to reach a deal or reopen the Strait of Hormuz — issued Friday April 4 — expires tomorrow Monday April 6 at 8 PM Eastern Time. Trump stated Iran will be “living in hell” if Hormuz is not reopened. Trump has threatened to hit power plants, electric generating plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island — which he said the US has “purposefully not yet touched.” A first European vessel —

a CMA CGM container ship — crossed the Strait of Hormuz on April 5, along with Japanese and Omani ships, apparently in coordination with Iran. India confirmed it has resumed purchasing Iranian oil for the first time since 2019. These are signals Iran may be opening Hormuz selectively — but no formal agreement has been announced.

Iran’s response to Trump: Iranian adviser Ali Akbar Velayati threatened on Sunday that Iran could target the Strait of Bab al-Mandab — the narrow chokepoint at the southern end of the Red Sea — which could completely sever shipping to and from the Suez Canal. Iran’s joint command spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari announced Iran shot down 4 US aircraft (2 C-130s, 2 Black Hawks) during the rescue operation for the downed F-15E pilot on Friday. Trump said the pilot was rescued in a “miraculous operation.” Iran’s central military command called Trump’s ultimatum “a helpless, nervous, unbalanced and stupid action.”

The April 6 deadline is the single most consequential geopolitical moment in this entire war. If Trump strikes Kharg Island, the Iran war escalates dramatically — and Lebanon’s front will intensify in parallel.

🔴 #5 — LEBANESE ARMY SOLDIER KILLED IN SOUTH LEBANON TODAY

[Lebanese Army statement / Al Jazeera — 3 hours ago; L’Orient Today — confirmed]

The Lebanese Army announced on Sunday that a soldier was killed in an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon. No additional details were immediately available. This is the third Lebanese Army soldier killed by Israeli fire since the war began, confirming that Israel is striking Lebanese state military forces as well as Hezbollah and civilians.

🔴 #6 — AOUN ON EASTER: “WHY DON’T WE NEGOTIATE… SAVE THE HOMES NOT YET DESTROYED?”

[AFP / various — 6 hours ago]

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun delivered a televised Easter Sunday address from Baabda Palace, saying: “Why don’t we negotiate… until we can at least save the homes that have not yet been destroyed?” He reiterated his call for direct talks with Israel and said he wanted to spare Lebanon’s south from the scale of destruction seen in Gaza.

His statement was notable in its explicit acknowledgement that large parts of southern Lebanon have already been destroyed and that the remaining undemolished homes need urgent diplomatic protection. Aoun said: “It may be that Israel wants to operate in southern Lebanon as it does in Gaza, but our duty is not to drag it into doing what it does in Gaza. Negotiations are not surrender. Gaza is destroyed, and more than 70,000 have been killed, and only afterwards do they negotiate. We have no choice but to negotiate to stop the tragedy in Lebanon.”

This is Aoun’s most direct and emotionally charged public statement of the entire war. It reflects the Lebanese government’s acute sense that it is losing the race between diplomacy and demolition.

🔴 #7 — DEATH TOLL: 1,461 KILLED; 4,200+ WOUNDED; 1.2 MILLION+ DISPLACED — 126 CHILDREN KILLED

[Wikipedia Timeline 2026 Lebanon War — 3 hours ago; Al Jazeera — 3 hours ago; L’Orient Today — 10 hours ago]

The latest confirmed figures from the Lebanese Health Ministry and multiple verified sources:

  • 1,461 killed (Wikipedia Timeline, updated 3 hours ago — incorporating the 39 killed on April 4 that brought the toll from 1,422 to 1,461)
  • 4,200+ wounded (L’Orient Today, April 5)
  • 1.2 million+ displaced (Al Jazeera, April 5)
  • 126 children killed (Al Jazeera, April 5)

Today’s 14 killed will push the total further. Since March 2, Lebanon has been losing on average 48 people per day — making this the deadliest sustained conflict in Lebanese history measured by daily rate.

🔴 #8 — IDF KILLS HEZBOLLAH SOUTHERN FRONT COMMANDER HASHEM — APRIL 1 CONFIRMED

[Al Jazeera — 4 days ago; Hezbollah confirmed]

In a major targeted assassination confirmed April 1, an Israeli Navy strike in Beirut’s Jnah area killed Hajj Yusuf Ismail Hashem — the commander of Hezbollah’s Southern Front. Hezbollah confirmed his death, stating he was killed alongside second-tier and third-tier commanders. The IDF accused Hashem of targeting Israeli civilians. The Southern Front commander controls all Hezbollah’s ground combat operations against Israeli forces in south Lebanon. His death was followed by Hezbollah confirming “fierce clashes” with Israeli soldiers in Shamaa and continuing ground engagements throughout the south. This is among the most significant Hezbollah command-level elimination since the war began.

🔴 #9 — IDF REFRAMES GOALS: DISARMING HEZBOLLAH “UNREALISTIC” — SHIFTING TO SECURITY ZONE

[FDD Long War Journal — April 3, 19 hours ago]

In a significant strategic admission, the IDF formally reframed its military objectives on April 3: militarily disarming Hezbollah is “unrealistic” because “such an endeavour would require occupying all of Lebanon.” Instead, Israel has shifted to establishing a South Lebanon Security Zone — the same objective Israel pursued from 1982 to 2000, ultimately abandoned after 18 years of guerrilla warfare. Long War Journal analyst David Daoud: “Israeli operations against Hezbollah remain more intense and expansive than the September to November 2024 phase of the war, but have noticeably transitioned from an initially ferocious retaliatory campaign to a sustained war of attrition.”

The strategic implications for Lebanon: Israel is building a permanent occupation zone south of the Litani River, not a temporary military operation. IDF Chief Zamir described it as a “prolonged operation.” Katz has said IDF will “establish itself in a security zone inside Lebanon” at the conclusion of the operation — indefinitely preventing return of 600,000+ residents.

🔴 #10 — BEKAA VALLEY NOW STRUCK — STRIKES ON BEKAA VILLAGES; LAKE QARAOUN CAFÉ HIT

[LiveUAMap — today; confirmed multiple sources]

Israeli strikes have now reached the Bekaa Valley in multiple confirmed incidents. A café on the banks of Lake Qaraoun was struck, causing injuries. Israeli forces struck several villages in the Bekaa on Saturday (confirmed by L’Orient Today). This is the most intensive Bekaa targeting since the war began and follows the IDF ground advance toward the Litani approaches in Nabatieh last week. The Bekaa is no longer a rear-area haven for displaced people or non-combatants.

🔴 #11 — HEZBOLLAH FIRES CRUISE MISSILE AT ISRAELI WARSHIP (ISRAEL DENIES); 51 ATTACKS OVER WEEKEND

[Naharnet — today; Alma Research Center — 4 hours ago]

Hezbollah on Sunday claimed it fired a sea-to-sea missile at an Israeli vessel 126km off the Lebanese coast. Israel’s military denied any hit. Alma Research Center characterises Hezbollah’s claim as false. Over the weekend (Friday-Saturday), Hezbollah carried out 51 attacks against Israel (29 Friday, 22 Saturday). Targets included communities in the 0-5km border zone, the cities of Nahariya, Acre, Safed, and Rosh Pina, and — in a significant range extension — the Krayot and Haifa area and Jezreel Valley (50km+ from the border) including approximately 10 rockets and surface-to-surface missiles. Hezbollah attacked Israeli forces at Maroun al-Ras today. Hezbollah continues to fire 100+ projectiles daily despite absorbing significant command losses.

🔴 #12 — IRAN SHOOTS DOWN 4 US AIRCRAFT DURING F-15E PILOT RESCUE

[L’Orient Today — 10 hours ago; Naharnet — today]

Iran’s joint command announced it shot down 4 US military aircraft during the rescue operation for a downed F-15E pilot: 2 C-130 military transport planes and 2 US military Black Hawk helicopters. Iran stated these were destroyed as US forces conducted the rescue inside Iranian territory. Trump announced the pilot was rescued in a “miraculous operation.” This confirms active combat between US and Iranian forces inside Iranian airspace, with both sides suffering losses. The loss of two C-130s and two Black Hawks on a single rescue mission is a significant US military setback.

🔴 #13 — 200,000+ CROSSED FROM LEBANON TO SYRIA; UN FLETCHER WRAPS UP BEIRUT VISIT

[GlobalSecurity/OCHA — today; multiple sources]

UN Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher concluded his Beirut visit, meeting with Speaker Berri, visiting displaced families in shelters, and meeting Lebanese Red Cross staff. As he left, Fletcher visited the Lebanese-Syrian border — where more than 200,000 people have now crossed from Lebanon into Syria since the start of the escalation. He met families who had returned to Syria, describing their “determination to return to their communities and contribute to rebuilding.” Fletcher noted more than 1.1 million internally displaced in Lebanon remain in overcrowded shelters, informal settings, relatives’ homes, cars, and open areas. Women and girls face “heightened risk in unfamiliar and often unsafe conditions.”

🌡️ GOVERNORATE SECURITY INDEX — APRIL 5, 2026

🏙️ BEIRUT

Index: 98/100 🔴🔴 | Trend: ⬆️ ESCALATING — JNAH STRIKE 100M FROM MAIN HOSPITAL

Today is the most dangerous day for Beirut since the war began. The Jnah neighbourhood strike — landing 100 metres from Rafik Hariri University Hospital — is the closest an Israeli strike has come to Lebanon’s largest medical facility. Thirty-nine wounded in a single building. Eight total Dahiyeh strikes. AFP photographers on the ground captured missiles hitting buildings as warplanes flew at low altitude. The strike that was not warned — landing without prior Israeli evacuation notice — is an escalation of Israel’s targeting pattern.

President Aoun’s Easter address was delivered from Baabda — a few km north of the strikes. His words — “Why don’t we negotiate… save the homes not yet destroyed?” — captured the desperation of a government watching its country being demolished while peace talks remain stalled.

⚠️ URGENT: The Jnah neighbourhood and all areas within 500 metres of Rafik Hariri University Hospital are now active Israeli strike zones. If you are in Jnah or the surrounding area, leave immediately.

🏞️ MOUNT LEBANON

Index: 87/100 🔴 | Trend: Sustained

Mount Lebanon continues receiving displaced populations at absolute capacity. As the IDF reframes its goal from disarmament to permanent security zone, the 600,000+ residents barred from returning south of the Litani are facing an indefinite displacement situation — not a temporary one awaiting ceasefire. Easter Sunday — normally Lebanon’s most joyous Christian holiday — was marked in collective shelters and displacement camps across Mount Lebanon.

🌊 NORTH LEBANON & TRIPOLI

Index: 83/100 🔴 | Trend: Elevated

North Lebanon continues absorbing displaced populations. The Jousieh crossing (northern route to Syria) saw a long line of vehicles as people sought alternatives to the closed Masnaa crossing. 200,000+ have now crossed to Syria — the humanitarian exodus continues.

🌲 AKKAR

Index: 87/100 🔴 | Trend: ⬆️ Elevated — Masnaa Closure Impacts All Border Crossings

Akkar’s Jousieh crossing is now the primary remaining Syria land crossing following Masnaa’s closure. Hundreds of trucks are stranded. The Jousieh crossing was not designed for the volume of commercial traffic it is now handling. Akkar faces both the humanitarian burden of Syria-bound crossings and the economic shock of Lebanon’s commercial supply chains being severed at Masnaa.

🍇 BEQAA VALLEY

Index: 98/100 🔴🔴 | Trend: ⬆️ NOW ACTIVELY STRUCK — LAKE QARAOUN, VILLAGES HIT

The Bekaa Valley is now an active Israeli strike zone. Strikes on Bekaa villages yesterday; a café at Lake Qaraoun struck today. The IDF ground advance from the south is approaching the Litani line — which forms the southern boundary of the Bekaa. With the IDF shifting to a “prolonged operation” focused on a permanent security zone, Bekaa communities north of the Litani are now directly in the operational path. Any remaining civilian population in the southern and central Bekaa should leave immediately.

🕌 BAALBEK-HERMEL

Index: 98/100 🔴🔴 | Trend: Maximum Danger

Baalbek-Hermel remains at maximum danger. The IDF has targeted IRGC Lebanon Corps headquarters throughout this area. Katz’s confirmed demolition policy (“Rafah and Beit Hanoun model”) extends to all villages adjacent to the border — and with the buffer zone expanding, “adjacent” is increasingly being defined further north. Deir Sirian was razed last week. More villages are targeted.

🏛️ KESERWAN-JBEIL

Index: 81/100 🔴 | Trend: Elevated

Receiving displaced persons. No direct strikes today. Missile debris risk remains. Easter Sunday was a subdued holiday in a governorate where churches typically overflow — many families are hosting displaced relatives with no safe home to return to.

🌴 SOUTH LEBANON

Index: 99/100 🔴🔴 | Status: TOTAL ACTIVE WAR — VILLAGES DEMOLISHED; FAMILY OF 6 KILLED TODAY

South Lebanon on Easter Sunday is a total demolition zone. Confirmed strikes today: Kfar Hatta (family of six killed, 4-year-old girl killed, 8 homes destroyed), Maaraka (5 killed), Habbush (2 girls killed, 22 wounded), al-Hawsh (18 wounded, Italian Hospital damaged), Wadi al-Hujair, Deir Qanoun Ras al-Ain, Batouliyeh, Shahabiyeh, Hanouiyeh (AFP confirmed). Hezbollah attacked Maroun al-Ras. Lebanese Army soldier killed. IDF Chief Zamir visited troops and vowed to “intensify.” The IDF goal is now confirmed as a permanent security zone — meaning south Lebanon will not be returned to Lebanese civilian control regardless of any Iran war ceasefire.

There is nothing — no building, no family, no institution — that is safe anywhere south of the Zahrani River.

⛪ NABATIEH

Index: 99/100 🔴🔴 | Status: Total War — University District Struck Today

Nabatieh’s university district was struck by an Israeli airstrike today — a new category of civilian institution targeted. Harouf struck. Nabatieh al-Fawqa — extensive destruction documented by AFP footage. Biriqah, Qusaybah, Zawtar East, Barashit, Bariqah all struck. IDF ground forces remain active throughout the governorate pushing toward the Litani line.

Nabatieh Governorate is under total active war. No civilian presence is safe.

🎯 CRITICAL INTELLIGENCE — APRIL 5, 2026

⚠️ THE MOST IMPORTANT 24 HOURS IN THIS WAR — APRIL 6 DEADLINE

TOMORROW IS APRIL 6. Trump’s deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face the destruction of power plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island expires at 8 PM Eastern (3 AM Beirut time Tuesday). This is the critical geopolitical moment. Three possible scenarios:

SCENARIO A — TRUMP STRIKES KHARG ISLAND / POWER PLANTS: Iran will retaliate maximally. Hezbollah will intensify attacks against Israel and Lebanon. The Iran war escalates into a new phase of economic and energy infrastructure destruction. Lebanon will face: intensified Dahiyeh strikes; possible Bekaa ground advance; Masnaa destroyed; Hormuz fully closed. Oil could reach $130-150/barrel. Global recession risk spikes.

SCENARIO B — TRUMP EXTENDS AGAIN: A second extension — citing “progress” — would mean continuing the status quo: the war at current intensity, Hormuz partially open (selective ships), Pakistan-China mediation framework active. Lebanon continues to absorb ~50 deaths per day. The April 6 deadline becomes the April 16 deadline. This is the most likely scenario given the CMA CGM ship crossing Hormuz today.

SCENARIO C — A DEAL IS REACHED: Iran formally commits to reopening Hormuz; US pauses military operations against Iran; a broader framework based on China-Pakistan 5-point plan begins. For Lebanon: this would trigger immediate ceasefire negotiations — but the IDF has already stated a “security zone” will remain regardless of any Iran deal. Lebanon would still face: IDF in south Lebanon indefinitely; 600,000 people barred from returning; demolished villages; destroyed infrastructure. A ceasefire would stop the killing — but not undo the occupation.

CIS Assessment: The CMA CGM crossing and India’s oil purchases are the most concrete signals yet that Iran may be prepared to partially open Hormuz to avoid Kharg Island destruction. A second Trump extension is probable. A full deal remains unlikely before April 6. The war at current intensity continues.

📱 EMERGENCY GUIDANCE — EASTER SUNDAY APRIL 5, 2026

🚨 TODAY’S IMMEDIATE LIFE-SAFETY PRIORITIES:

JNAH NEIGHBOURHOOD AND NEAR RAFIK HARIRI HOSPITAL: IDF strike today — 100m from hospital, no prior warning. This is now an active Israeli strike zone. If you are in Jnah or adjacent areas of Beirut’s southern fringe, leave immediately and move north.

ALL DAHIYEH / SOUTH BEIRUT: Eight strikes today. Do not return under any circumstances. Evacuation order remains active.

SOUTH LEBANON / NABATIEH: Kfar Hatta (family of six killed today), Maaraka, Habbush, al-Hawsh all struck today. IDF Chief Zamir vowed to intensify. The worst is not over. Do not enter. Do not attempt return.

BEKAA VALLEY: Lake Qaraoun struck today. Bekaa villages struck yesterday. Ground advance approaching from south. If you are in the Bekaa, leave now.

MASNAA CROSSING: DO NOT USE MASNAA CROSSING. It is closed and under Israeli threat of bombing. Use Jousieh as alternative with extreme caution. Traffic is heavy; delays are significant.

TRUMP APRIL 6 DEADLINE: If Trump strikes Kharg Island / power plants tomorrow, expect: Iranian maximum retaliation, Hezbollah intensification, possible Masnaa actual destruction, potential Hormuz total closure, energy supply emergency. Stockpile fuel and essential goods NOW — before midnight tonight.

EASTER NOTE: Churches have been holding services. The sound of strikes is audible throughout south Lebanon and Beirut. If you are attending Easter services in areas near any of today’s strike zones — return home via the fastest safe route. Do not linger outside after services.

President Aoun’s Easter words will be remembered long after this war: “Why don’t we negotiate… until we can at least save the homes that have not yet been destroyed?” He is asking for negotiations not from strength but from desperation — knowing that every day without a ceasefire, more homes, more lives, and more of the country’s south is erased.

The IDF’s admission that disarming Hezbollah is “unrealistic” and its pivot to a permanent security zone means Lebanon is facing not a temporary war but a permanent occupation of its south — the second in a generation, and potentially far more devastating than the first.

The next 24 hours will define whether this war enters a new and even more catastrophic phase — or whether the first real ceasefire framework begins to take shape.

CIS Security stands with Lebanon. We are operational 24/7.
